Update on A1Art Auction

For those of you interested in the online Auction you can go to www.spiderspun.net/a1artauction.htm to view the items being auctioned. There is contact information in case you find something you wish to bid on. This is a great cause for a terrible disease that doesn't get much attention! Have been in the studio the past week trying to finish up Petal Pixels 2. There is an adage I live by..more is better! This PP2 has 100 fabrics all color blended to match a photo (abstractly!). I will post when I get the top done...today?

This is a donation for the A1Art show to raise awareness and funds for the Alpha Pack Support group for Alpha One patients. Alpha one is a debilitating lung disease that can begin a soon as birth or start in middle age. My FIL suffers from it and has to have lengthy IV treatments and wear an O2 tank every waking minute. Many times a lung transplant is the only recourse. There will be an online auction on August 26, 2006. I will get the contact info shortly..Keep tuned.

Creative SHARP Quilt

This is the new quilt for the Creative SHARP Project, a literacy art based group here in Milwaukee. I had the pleasure of working with them on a different project last year. This year, Elli DeLia and I collaborated on this cute kid's quilt which will be auctioned off at their large fundraiser. All monies go to providing literacy programs to underprivileged kids here in the Metro Milwaukee Area. The pattern is adapted from Star Gazy's(?) patterns. The quilt is aprox. a twin size 70 x 90 inches..now to quilt it!
